I had to really look for ANY deals at Bashas' this week. While their sales may not be as great as the other stores, I have to say their customer service is OUTSTANDING! In my opinion, it far exceeds any other grocery store in the valley. Case in point - I had purchased 8 boxes of Reduced Sugar Quaker Instant Oatmeal a couple of months ago during a sale. No one in my family will eat it, so I was hoping to exchange it for the regular kind. I still had my receipts, so the assistant manager gave me cash back! She didn't treat me like a criminal (ahem Safeway) or act like I was a bother. So refreshing. So, even if they don't have the best sales, make sure you are still supporting Bashas. We want to encourage great customer service and our hometown grocery chain!

1.00 Fresh Express Salads

Note #1: This EQ says limit of 2, so maybe it will deduct for 2 salads?
Note #2: $10 minimum purchase required for EQ to deduct. Thanks Anon!

OTHER AWESOME DEALS:
1.68 Dairy Glen milk, Limit 2
This seems like a new low cost milk Safeway is carrying. I saw it for the first time last week and it was 1.68, while Lucerne milk is 2.49 - new regular price! That is up 30 cents from the 2.19 its always been. Looks like I'll be a Dairy Glen milk drinker now.

.88 strawberries, 16 oz.
That's a huge container of strawberries for 88 cents!
These are 77 cents at the Safeway on Val Vista & Southern in Mesa. If you have one of those Safeways with cheaper pricing, you'll get this price too! Thanks Anonymous!

Limit of TWO per one $10 purchase! Yay! I paid this much for a dozen eggs at Albie's on Monday!
WHAT OTHER DEALS ARE YOU DOING THIS WEEK?

  1. Hi there! Quick question I;m confused on something with this deal....
"This is the best deal I see...
    Buy 2 frostings at 1.89 each = 3.78
    Buy 2 cake mixes at 1.99 each = 3.98
    Buy 1 cookie mix at 3.00 (!) = 3.00
    10.76 subtotal
4.99 (-3 free items (cheapest items) 2 frostings, 1 cake mix)
    3.99 (-1.00 wyb Cookie Mix & Frosting Cellfire EQ-here)
3.24 (.75/1 BC Cake Mix Cellfire EQ - load here)
2.24 (-.75 wyb Cake Mix & Frosting MQ 3/28 SS or print here)
1.24 (-.40/1 BC Cookie Mix MQ 3/28 SS or print here)
1.24 total OOP or .25 per item!"

I don't see why we can't use 2 .75 WYB cake mix and frosting since we are buying 2 of each.

  2. Amber - And this is why I should NOT do match-ups at 11pm! Thanks so much for catching that!

  3. the safeway on southern and val vista has the strawberries at .77

  4. I bought a Fresh Express Salad Blend this morning and the .50 didn't come off! :(

  5. There was a coupon from that Fry's Diamondback Booklet for $1 off 3 Kellogg's cereal. Can you combine it with a manu coupon?

  6. Anon 1:20pm - I work right near that Safeway and they consistently have lower prices than the other Safeways in the valley. There are a handful of Safeways with this lower pricing. I'm so happy I'm near one! Thanks for the heads up- that is a GREAT price!

Anon 1:47pm - Darn those unreliable EQs! That Fresh Express EQ is from the Safeway site. In the future if that happens with a Safeway EQ, I would take my EQ print out to customer service and see if they'd give me the 50 cents. It's worth a shot since its their store's coupon. Thanks for checking. I'll try it out too. By the way, what kind of salad did you buy?

Anon 1:49pm - Great point! Yes, that is a Fry's store coupon and it can be combined with a MQ. Hmm.... I'll do a match-up and see what kind of deal we've got there. Good detective work Anon!

  7. Hi KM, I discovered what the problem was with the Fresh Express. I printed out the coupon and in the fine print it says you have to spend a minimum of $10 to use the coupon! Wish they said that on their website.
