Albie's Doublers Trips!

I feel like the Albie's doublers came around fast this time! It is lots of work, but there are good deals to be had! I filled a prescription at Albie's using the in-ad Q and got a $25 gift card. I only paid $3.00 for the prescription, so before I even started filling my cart, I had made $22!

I always stop by the clearance section on my Albie's trips and I hit the Glad trash bag jackpot! I have NEVER been able to get any great deals on garbage bags - it's like the unattainable deal for me. It makes this deal even more exciting. I found these Glad trash bags on clearance for $2.00 each! I also found this box of Mylicon for 4.00 - great price! I just paid $12 for a bottle at Rite Aid last week :(

Filling up the Freezer with Albie's Doublers!

We are just about ready to move into our "new" house, so I spent more out of pocket than I am used to (28.42!). I have an empty refrigerator and freezer to fill up! A lot of the extra cost was the Dasani water at 1.50 per case plus the dreaded CRV... California's extra tax on bottled and canned products. At 5 cents per bottle, CRV ran me 1.20 PER CASE! Thanks a lot state of California! :(

Last Doublers Trip to Albie's!

Sorry for the fuzzy picture - camera phone picture!

Well, the doublers expired on Tuesday, so I made one last run with them. I hope this doublers thing is a monthly occurence. This is the most fun I've had grocery shopping since I moved to California almost a year ago.

AZ readers, you won't be able to replicate these deals because So Cal Albie's is different that your Albie's. But I am posting so you can see I am still alive and couponing!

2.00 Frosted Mini Wheats (2) - clearanced with 2012 expiration

-1.00/1 MQ from Vocal Point mailer (2) + 2 doublers

Not a good deal! I don't know what I was thinking, but I miscalculated thinking they'd be .50 each.

FINAL TOTAL = .90 out of pocket

More fun at Albie's with doublers!

I am officially addicted to doublers at Albie's! They don't come that often in Southern California so I am cashing in while I've got them.

Here's what I did today...

According to multiple So Cal blogs, I should have received a $4 OYNO back making these free, but no $4 cat printed. I know the machine was working because I got the 20% Payless coupon. Darn it!

My first Albie's doublers trip...

105.15 worth of groceries for 6.88 out of pocket!

I know all my AZ friends won't be able to replicate these deals - So Cal Albie's is a different company that the Albie's in AZ. But I am posting this for my California shoppers...

I love doublers at Albie's!

I had heard about them all over the frugal blog world for years and was always so jealous. I guess one this is one good thing about shopping in California. Thank goodness! I need all the perks I can get out here. AZ people - count your blessings to be where you are. I have never seen milk here below 3.00 a gallon EVER. Ugh... Anyway, onto the doublers...

This was my first experience with doublers, so I read up on the blogs about limits, etiquette, beeps, etc. I had all my items split out so I only used 2 doublers per transaction (per the coupon), but when I got to the cashier, she said she'd just combine everything! I had one doubler for each manufacturer's coupon I used. I figured I should go for the gold and cash in all the coupons I could. Getting things for free is very rare in California, even with coupons, so I went a little nuts.

Here's the breakdown...
