Safeway Trip - TONS of freebies!

All of which was tax, plus some...
I don't know why I waited so long to jump in on the Buy 8, Save $4 Mix & Match sale - this was so much fun! The best part is, you don't have to buy in multiples of eight, you just need to buy at least 8 participating items or more. That makes it easy!

I am so excited the Buy 8, Save $4 event is continuing into next week! More time to stock up on Chinet & Kraft Mac & Cheese. I definitely met the $30 requirement for the $10 Kraft rebate after this trip, so I'll be sending that off.

  1. Great deals! I'm just confused about your Huggies deal. You say that they start at $8.99, minus $3 IPQ & $3 EQ, makes them .01 overage, but really it would make them $2.99. Is there another coupon in there somewhere?

    Thanks!
    Julie

  2. Hey Kim, Can you check the huggies deal.. it doesn't add up for me, (maybe I am crazy), but I would like to get on free diapers!

Also were the chinet coupons peelies on the package or new tearpads? Just need to figure out where else i can look for them!

    Thanks

  3. Where did you find the Chinet tearpad? I am in desperate need of cups and plates for a family reunion this summer. Also there is a deal I figured out yesterday. Circle K has $1.00 off Breyers pint icecream coupons. Albertsons has Breyers pints 10/10. Free pints!

  4. Julie & KC- So sorry! I had TWO 3.00/1 EQs loaded, but I forgot to note that on the post. I just fixed it. If you've been consistent about loading the Safeway EQs to your cards, I bet you have 2 or 3 of those loaded. I had customer service scan a pack of diapers and hit total to check and see how many I had.

KC- The Chinet MQs I had were old tear pads from a few months back. I haven't seen the tearpads or peelies for a long time. I have a few extras - I'll send some to you. :)

Natalie- I found the Chinet tearpad at Safeway around the beginning of the year. Great find at Albie's! Who doesn't love free ice cream? :) Email me your address and I'll send you some Chinet coupons.

  5. Great deals! I too was able to get the pack of huggies for free (I was really surprised when 2 coupons came off). I also discovered yesterday that Frys has a little magazine sort of thing (can't remember what it is called) that I picked up at customer service and inside was a coupon for odwalla products... which I was able to get odwalla bars free at safeway since they are 10/$10. Too bad I missed the CHinet and ready pack fruit deal!

  7. Guess I'm clueless about couponing lol b/c are you all stacking 2 coupons for 1 item to make them free? I just dont get how it's all adding up to be so cheap. I thought you can only use 1 mq per item, also what safeway do you all go to b/c the safeway on power and mckellips where I shop doesn't even have most of these items listed in the ad for the week.

  8. Ray Family- Welcome! Don't feel overwhelmed, we were all new to this at one point.

The short story is - yes, you can combine coupons. You can "stack" manufacturer's coupons (from Sunday paper inserts, internet) with a store coupon (in-ad coupon) and with an electronic coupon (EQ like Cellfire or Shortcuts). Sometimes, with all three of these combined, items are free or even profitable.

I go to the Safeways at Val Vista/Southern, Higley/Baseline, Ellsworth/Baseline, & Meridian/Main. The "Buy 8, Save $4" items were in a seperate special Safeway flyer that I believe came in the Sunday paper. Maybe that's why you aren't seeing it.

If you have any specific questions, let me know. You will be an expert in no time!

  10. You don't happen to have any more of those chinet coupons you'd be willing to part with do you? I just found out we are hosting a company party for the 4th. Maybe I can check ebay too?

  11. Sarah - Yay! Thanks for being a great look-out! I haven't seen any peelies, but your discovery means they are out there! Thanks so much for the heads up!

Amanda- Email me your address. :)
