I think I am stocked up on wipes for the next 2 years.I went to 5 different Walgreens stores, so I didn't clear any shelves. Don't worry... although it doesn't look like it, there are still Huggies wipes left in Mesa, Arizona.
Most of my transactions looked like this:
3.29 Huggies wipes (8)
2.70 tax
29.02 subtotal
-$1.50/1 Huggies product IPQ (8)
-$2/1 Huggies back to school Wags Q (8)
.56 paid OOP
Earned $5RR
SUMMARY - Profit of $4.44 (repeated 5 more times)!
I added a Softsoap in there on one of them and I found a package of clearance Pampers wipes (.75!) and used a $1/1 Q I got ealier in the day from a Wags catalina.
SUMMARY - 22.21 profit! I have $30 in RR - holy cow.
Sorry, I am new to the couponing thing. What "IPQ" Huggies coupon did you use? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy! Thanks for the comment. IPQ is my abbreviation for Internet printable coupon. it's available to print on coupons.com. Give the cashier the printed coupon first, then the walgreens coupon- that way it won't beep at you. Let me know if you have any questions!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! The only question I have (beside where are you going to put them?!?) is how in the world did you get that many IP's??
ReplyDeleteBorn2Save - Thanks for the comment! I added your blog to my favorite AZ Blogs on the right side so I can try to keep up with your great deals! I love the local blogs!
ReplyDeleteAs far as storage goes, I have about 3 closets dedicated for my stockpile (I should post a picture one of these days). I love to open the closet door and just smile at my stacks and stacks of wipes.
And the multiple IPs... as long as the coupon does not state one per household (which this one does not), I have a trick. This actually came from the support department at coupons.com. I called them because my printer had jammed up and wouldn't restart printing the coupons - it said I had reached the maximum printed allowed, but I had no coupons! Anyway, the support lady told me when the coupon is printing, it will have a printer icon in your lower right corner (next to the volume control, clock, etc.). She had me double click on the icon, right click the print job, and select restart. It prints the coupon out again! And again and again. She said if the coupon does not state one per household, there was no limit. I don't do this very often because they usually say limit one per household, but this one did not. You can decide for yourselves if you think it's ethical or not. Obviously, based on my 33 tubs of wipes, you know what I think!
i JUST FOUND YOUR BLOG THIS IS GREAT! i WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A STOCKPILE OF WIPES AND SO MANY OTHER THINGS UESTION HOW DID YOU GET SO MANY WAGS CPNS
ReplyDeleteHi CGirl! Thank you for your comment! The Wags coupons were easy! There is an orange Back to School pamphlet at the front of the store next to the weekly ads. You only need to give them one of the Wags $2/1 Huggies wipes coupons because the computer automatically deducts $2 for each package of wipes you purchased. For example, when the cashier scanned one Wags Q, it took off $16.00! Yay for Wags store Qs!
ReplyDeleteSWEET THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! IS IT EASY TO OBTAIN MULTIPLE ORANGE BOOKS FOR DIFFERNET TRANSACTIONS AT DIFFERENT STORES OR IS IT REUSABLE AT OTHER STORES? HOPEFULLY i CAN GET MY COMPUTER TO PRINT SOME INTERNET COUPONS TOO AND GET THE DEAL TO WORK FOR ME THANKS!
ReplyDeleteThere are tons of the Back to School pamphlets. There were at least 50 at each of the 5 Walgreens stores I went to yesterday. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your quick reply! I looked at coupons.com and the only coupon that I could find was $1.50 off of diaper products. Do the wipes count as "diaper products" or is the coupon no longer posted. Thanks so much for your great blog! It has been an invaluable resource since I am new to couponing!
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy! I read on another blog that a Huggies rep said they were valid for wipes as well. I didn't have any problems using them for wipes. I am glad I've been able to help you save money... check back often, I am always out couponing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the great deal on the wipes. I printed the $1.50 coupon, but the walgreens I went to wouldn't accept it. I read them the fine print "diaper product", but the cashier wouldn't budge...oh well, I will just try again and again and again!!
ReplyDeleteAnon- Bummer! Go to another Walgreens. The cashiers change their coupon policies and attitudes depending on the weather. Or go back to the same Walgreens and find a new cashier. The younger guys (16-30) don't care about anything other than when their shift is over. I absolutely profile cashiers and try to pick the ones who aren't going to be grumpy about my great deals. Don't give up! Let me know how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteDo you have to register for Wags RR or does it just print period? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteEvers - Thanks for the comment! Wags RR print out of a Catalina machine next to the cash regisrer. They print automatically- you don't have to register for anything. Let me know if you have any other questions!
ReplyDeleteOk, Kim. I really need to go with you on one of your coupon adventures. I try to do it and think I get a good deal, but then I see your deals--Way better than mine.
ReplyDeleteso, i went to another walgreens this morning to try and use $1.50 coupon. the manager was not very happy. he took it off, but then he kept looking at how i got the $16 off with the walgreens coupon. i had $3.50 in coupons and then i decided to use my $5.oo coupon. the mangaer said that the problem was all these people trying to "buck the system" with their coupons. and the "big brother was soon going to stop all of this". well...i got my deals and off i went :)
ReplyDeleteJulie, Good job! Don't worry about that manager. I never feel bad when I know they'll get reimbursed and get their money. I don't know why they act like it's coming out of their paycheck if we use coupons. I highly doubt the "big brother" is going to stop "all of this". Let's face it, the only reason anyone younger than 65 shops at Wags is for the great deals. Their normal shelf prices are RIDICULOUS! If they are truly concerned about all the couponers, they should research their register reward deals and find out if there are corresponding coupons available prior to the sale. Julie, good job on the wipes... that manager is just jealous that he didn't get lots of wipes AND make money off of it!

ReplyDeleteSo, yesterday I went to 5 walgreens (although 1 was already sold out of huggies wipes) My total OP (before tax) was 3.87 (each store total varied a little from negative to postive) and I walked away with $20 in register rewards. In all I got 32 huggies wipes, 4 wrigley gum packs, 2 trident gum packs, 1L of smart water, 2 nesquik choc. milk, 1 bottle tylenol PM, 6 mars candy bars, 3 6-packs of Mott's applesauce. After the first walgreens, I learned that I had to add filler things to keep from going negative! All in all it was my most successful shopping trip ever!! Thanks again so much for your wonderful blog! I would never have been able to do this on my own!
ReplyDeleteDid I miss this, Please tell me I didn't!
ReplyDeleteStacy- Great job! I am so glad you were able to get a stockpile of wipes too! Once you get the hang of the Wags system, it's easier to make money off of them. The first few trips are confusing because they have so many rules. Stop by again... I am always out looking for great deals!
ReplyDeleteHattie - Thanks for the comment! You did not miss this deal; you can still get wipes for free. It won't be AS great of a deal because the get $5 register rewards when you spend $25 ended yesterday. But you can still get wipes for free. Most Huggies wipes prices I saw this week ranged from 2.79 - 3.29 (those aren't sale prices). Use the $2 Wags back to school Q + the 1.50 internet printable Q = a small moneymaker. Good luck & let me know if you have any questions!
