I saw on your 9-22 post that you can buy bread for .50 after the target coupon that you used at Fry's. Does Fry's take target coupons now? I didn't know that if they do now? - Monica

Hi Monica! Yes! Fry's began accepting Target coupons a couple of weeks ago. They actually list Target in their ad as a competitor, so that makes it super easy in case a cashier questions you (one questioned me last week). Hi Jenny! Which month's Parents magazine are you referring to? The 20% discount codes were in the August & September Parents and Parenting Early Years magazines. The October issue did not have any Amazon codes :( They look like this... (with an expiration date of 9/30/10)

You can still purchase the October issue of Parents magazine at stores, but hurry before those get pulled down to make room for the November issues! You can also enter my give away for the 4 W codes I have left! I will post the details later this afternoon!

Hi! I was at my Frys store in Goodyear and they were marking the Oscar Mayer hot dogs down to $.99!! I know Target a while back had a coupon for $1 off of 2 (exp 11/3) which would make an even better deal! Do you know of any other coupons for OM hot dogs? Just thought I would share with everyone! =) - Kim

Great find! I know we got a MQ for 1.00/2 Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs in the 8/22 SS. It expires 10/17/10. I'm not sure if your Fry's was marking down the "Selects" variety of Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs, but if they were, here is a link for 1.00 off 1 Oscar Mayer Selects. To access the coupon, you'll have to tell the website what puts you in a good mood and then like them on Facebook. I love it when I get emails from you readers with deals, pictures, or questions. Here are just a few I've received in the past couple of days...

I have been working very hard to save money on my families groceries. I would love to know how you are able to buy meat, chicken, fruits and veggies free or super duper cheap?  That is the one area that I'm still struggling to meet my budget with buying these items.  Any suggestions or help you could give me, would be most appreciated. - Cindy

Hi Cindy! Meat, chicken, fruits and veggies are hard to get free consistently, but it's not impossible to get them cheap. If I were in need of those items this week, I would go to Fry's and use this $6 off $30 Fresh & Easy competitor coupon. I would build up my $30 mark with as many free or close to free items as possible. This week at Fry's, you can get Dole salad, Starkist tuna, and Libby's canned vegetables free - see my entire Favorite Deals list here. Remember to hand over the $6 off $30 BEFORE your other coupons. Ideally, if you can get close to $30 worth of free stuff, you can use the $6 off to buy your other items that aren't free - like produce or meat. To bring that cost down, it's always good to check around for produce and meat coupons. They are rare, but they are out there.

If there aren't any competitor coupons available, the next best thing for produce is to hit the farmer's markets. I love Superstition Ranch Market. They have high quality, locally grown produce for super cheap. I can spend $5 and get a TON of fresh produce.

Arizona Savings readers! Help Cindy out - what do you guys do to get free or cheap produce or meat?

UPDATE- Harold emailed me to remind me about this 1.00/1 Target coupon for fresh produce. Fry's will accept it, so just buy your fruits and veggies in one pound increments to get it free! Thanks Harold!

First off, I hate Albertson's and almost never go there. Me too - Albie's is super expensive and lame! The one closest to me closed so it has to be something really special for me to drive there. Anyway, I have Circle K coupons for the ice cream and I want to get some Ragu and Skippy...BUT it says 1 reward per transaction. I want to buy a bunch of these while I'm there. Does that mean I'll have to do a million different transactions and are they going to give me grief about it? Can I use self check and do it? I just want to know if it will be worth it. That's pretty lame that it's one per transaction and it even says all price points so you can still only buy 4 at a time! Also do they have the Ben and Jerry's catalina like Fry's and Safeway because I think it's good until 9/5 and then I could use those at Fry's, right?

I have not personally tried it out myself (I will be soon), but I would definitely only try 4 ice creams per transaction. You can use SCO, but at my Albie's they have to scan the coupons anyway. Sometimes, its easier to go through an actual lane. As far as the Ben & Jerry's catalina, it's a possibility, but I doubt it. Our Albie's is owned by Albertson's Market which is completely different from the main national chain, meaning they don't run the same promos as the other national chains. If any of you test it out, let us know!

Also, if buying the bic soleil razors and using the BIGI free coupon, do NOT purchase with other bic products. I bought 2 razors and 2 bic white-out and the BIGI soleil razor coupon took off $1.24 for the Bic white out! Ooh, thanks for the tip! We'll watch out for that.

I saw many "coupon" items on the endcap by cleaning supplies at the Casa Grande Target. So, grab your coupons and go check it out. Cheap finds! :)


Glade candles, Air wick refills, tide stain release, cleaning supplies. Also garden center and patio items are almost all clearanced.

I shop mostly at Fry's. So, say when I am buying Lucky Charms cereal and there ad says they take any competitor's coupons and all MF coupons are a $1.00... How many different coupons can I use? I know I can use a Fry's one, Safeway and MQ. But are the MQs online the same as the ones from the paper? I guess thats were I get confused.... is how do I know when they are different so I can save as much money as I can?

In general, on one item, you can use:



1. Manufacturer's Coupon - You'll know its an MQ because it will say "Manufacturer's Coupon" at the top and it will have a remit address in the small print.


2. Store Coupon - This includes Fry's in-ad Qs and other Fry's Store Coupons


3. Competitor's Coupon - This includes all the other grocery store coupons. Usually, the cashier will adjust the item price based on what the coupon says. Either way, it has to be manually entered because it can't be scanned (its another store's coding, so the register won't recognize it).

4. E-Coupons - These deduct automatically at the register after you load them to your store card.

Super Cheap Morning Star products at Albie's!

While I am out of town, you readers are tearing up the deals for me! I got an email from Angel who found a great deal at Albie's this week. If you like Morning Star products, you already know how expensive they are. Angel found a way to stock up for close to nothing!


Morningstar Farms are on sale at Albies (ewww, I usually hate Albs) for $2 each wyb 10. There are also other items in the same promo. With this deal you get a $10 OYNO cat. About a month ago I found Morningstar Farms coupon booklets at just about every Safeway I went to. I grabbed 10. On the back of each booklet was a q for $2/2.

So...


I bought 10 Morningstars
used 5 qs
paid $10.40
received $10 cat
And the cat rolls!
Now I'm buying 10 Morningstars
using 5 qs
using $10 cat
paying $.40
receiving another $10 cat!

All in all, I plan on doing this 5 times between 3 different Albs. My family is vegetarian and 50 boxes will last us a loooong time. I'm so excited because these are usually $4-$5 each when not on sale.

UPDATE: KMART PULLED THE COUPON STATING IT WAS ONLY MEANT TO BE USED IN NEW YORK, SO NEVER MIND. In a nut shell, Hip2Save is reporting (after coupons & cat savings) you pay 10.45 for 60 double rolls of Quilted Northern Toilet Paper! Looks like there may be a problem with the $10/20 Kmart coupon & stay tuned to Hip2Save -she is working on a new scenario. Either way, this is a great deal and one I would definitely jump in on, if I had any more room to store toilet paper. My husband has asked me to stop bringing home toilet paper (and cereal) because we have a year's supply of each! Thanks Cindy!

Julie posted about a $4 Huggies deal at Target - check it out here on her blog! Julie's blog is local to Arizona, it's called CG Couponista and I LOVE it! Julie's Huggies IPQ link takes you to Safeway's printable coupon database which is powered by coupons.com. So, it doesn't have a Safeway logo on it and can be used by any retailer who accepts coupons.

In addition to her Huggies MQ link, there is ANOTHER link here if you become a fan on Facebook here! That is 4 coupons per computer! $3.00/1 is one of the highest value Huggies coupons I've seen since last spring when Huggies released $5.00/1 IPQs - which was probably a once in a lifetime event because they were clearancing out old packaging. Anyway, I just printed my four coupons and they are burning a hole in my pocket! I never turn down a good diaper coupon! Thanks Julie!
