Well, if you happen to still be checking in on this neglected blog of mine, you are in luck! I am running a quick give away for all you loyal readers!
When it comes to starting off your day right, a new survey from Kix found that 84 percent of parents turn to cereal with milk for a quick and healthy breakfast.
Cereal is one of the healthiest breakfast choices parents can make. Ready-to-eat cereal has fewer calories than almost any other common breakfast option, while also being nutrient-dense and convenient. In addition, cereal eaters consume less cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters.
With the same great taste kids have loved for more than 70 years, Kix makes it easy to serve your family a simple and healthy breakfast! Whether you choose to serve Original Kix or Honey Kix, you can be sure that your kids are getting a wholesome food with nutrients they need to grow.
The “Kid-Tested Mother-Approved®”cereal is made with whole grain corn and is an excellent source of iron. It also is a good source of calcium, fiber, and Vitamins C and D. Original Kix has no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

The lucky winner of this give away will receive a Kix “Kid-Tested, Mother-Approved” prize pack including a 24-piece counting-themed floor puzzle (super cute! - My 2 year old LOVES this puzzle), fun learn-to-count flashcards (again, super cute!), a sippy cup (I am not impressed at all - the first thing my 2 year old did was flip the cup over and dump the milk out on the floor. Fabulous.), a portable snack container (good to throw in the diaper bag), and a box each of Original Kix and Honey Kix cereals (delicious!).
Here's how to enter:
Leave a comment telling us what "go-to" cereal you feed your kids on busy mornings. Do you have a sugar limit (like 5 grams per serving) on the cereal you are willing to feed your kids?
So, leave a comment telling me what I should name my new baby girl!
And if you want an additional chance to enter...
I am due with my baby girl next Thursday, January 27th and she needs a name! I am a big believer in looking at babies before naming them, but I need some suggestions. As a reference, my first daughter is named Maddie. Here are the first names I like (in order of my preference) - Kate (not Katelyn or Katherine - just Kate), Macey, and Allie. I need middle names! I like Kate Chevelle (my husband is a classic car maniac) or Kate Nicole (my twin sister's middle name is Nicole), but I am open to other suggestions - including new first names I may not have thought of.

No sugar limit in my house, but I try to go for something I feel is a "healthier" type of cereal. Usually my go-to cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Cinnamon Life. My kids are huge Cinnamon lovers!!! (They inherited from hubby)

Wish I could help with the name! I'm also pregnant and don't have a girl name, but I'm leaning towards Payton...although my husband is a little less enthused. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a Katherine who is 8. I went with a long name because all my kids have them. But, I hate Kathy so she is Katie. I figure when she's older she will go by Kate.
ReplyDeleteI like Kate Nicole the best.

My kids like all kinds of cereal, especially if I got it on sale or free. LOL They like Trix and Cinnamon toast crunch. I don't worry about the sugars in it, but i do make sure they eat a snack earlier in the day if they have a high sugary cereal. They have never tried Kix and I haven't had it in quite awhile. We'd love to try it!

I know I only get 2 entries, but i thought of another name.... Kate Harper
ReplyDeleteI like the names you are considering & leaning more toward Kate or Macey. I'm bad with middle names, my girls won't have them :p
ReplyDeleteBut... a few other names I like are Berlin & London (I know, there is a theme there, but I wouldn't suggest using them both... just one).
Well if Elliot was a girl... I liked Reese Kelly
ReplyDeleteI like mini wheats...no sugar limit just portion limit.
ReplyDeleteamberrobins@gmail.com
Or Kate Chevelle.. so she can be kc :-)
ReplyDeleteI like Chevelle Nicole. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteamberrobins @ Gmail.com
Kate Nicole works because of the "sound." It is the alliteration--repetition of the "k" sound in "Kate" and "Nicole"--that makes the name "sound" beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy son loves fruit loops the best and i don't mind snacking on them either!
