Mail Call Tuesday!

I had all kinds of awesome things in my mailbox waiting for me after the holiday weekend!

FREE MAGAZINES: Surfer, OK, Forbes, & Bloomberg Businessweek
COUPONS: I got a P&G insert included with my grocery ads today - woo hoo!
REBATE MONEY: I got my $10 Kraft rebate check!
SAMPLE: I received a Cottonelle sample from Walmart with coupons inside!
GROCERY ADS: I've got my grocery ads in hand, working on my favorite deals for you. At a quick glance, Albie's is not tripling and quadrupling coupons this week. Fry's & Safeway still are. It looks like a quieter week than last week with all the July 4th deals, but then again, I haven't really started digging into it yet.

I'll have "My Favorite Deals" list up tomorrow as soon as possible!

Thrifty Tidbits - 7/6/10 edition

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! We enjoyed the cool weather in Southern California and got to sepnd lots of time with our family. My favorite part of the long weekend was watching my almost 2 year old's face lit up by the glow of the fireworks and to see the wonderment and awe in her innocent little face. What did you guys do for the 4th of July?

Here is a fun video I found online for all of us grocery shoppers to enjoy. It was made for a home economics class and is a primer on sensible food shopping. In the video, we learn to read canned food labels and get a glimpse at the mysterious grading system for various foods (and may understand why food grades are no longer advertised unless they are Grade A). Many of this films messages are still poignant today, especially since supermarkets are designed to encourage impulse buying. Either way, it's entertaining. I didn't have home economics at my high school, so this is fascinating to me.

PRINTABLE COUPONS:
Today, I've been catching up on printing out some rare fresh produce coupons made available in the past few days. Here are two of my favorites:

MY FAVORITE DEALS: Since there was no mail yesterday, "My Favorite Deals" list may be a bit delayed tomorrow morning. I will be working furiously on them tonight, but I've lost a day with the holiday weekend, so bear with me!

MAIL CALL MONDAY: I will post on my mail this evening as soon as I get home. I'm sure its packed from being gone all weekend. Can't wait to see what's waiting for me! Except for the ugly SRP electric bill that should be coming any day. That one can just get lost in the mail.

GIVE AWAY: I will be hosting a fun give away this week, so make sure to check back in for that!

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy 4th of July!

I am out of town with family enjoying our nation's birthday, but I'll be back posting on Tuesday, July 6th!

If you need any last minute BBQ supplies, make sure to check out "My Favorite Deals" list for an outline of the best July 4th deals.

Also, I'll be hosting another "Guess My Vacation Destination" contest on Facebook while I'm gone! You can guess as many times as you want by leaving a comment on my Facebook page. The first person to guess correctly will get an envelope full of coupons!

Remember to fly your American flag this weekend, fire up those grills with all your free food, & relax with your family members!

Happy Friday! Earn Some Swagbucks!

It's Mega Swagbucks Friday! You can earn a ton more Swagbucks today, 30 to 1000 Swagbucks in a single search! Simply by searching the internet on a Friday! Did you know 400,000 Swagbucks are given out on Fridays? Wowza.

For you non-Swaggers out there, you have no doubt seen Swagbucks discussed in the blogosphere - but what is it? Swagbucks is an online search engine (like Google or Yahoo) that rewards you with Swagbucks when you search on their site. Swagbucks can be redeemed for all kinds of awesome things like books, magazines, & gift cards! If you're like me, you are probably skeptical and think it's a scam. It's not! It only takes 450 Swagbucks to earn a $5 Amazon gift card. Sounds like a lot, but you will be amazed how quickly those Swagbucks rack up.

Ready to sign up yet?

If you're on the fence, today is a great time to sign up. Each Friday, Swagbucks are multiplied, so instead of earning 5 or 10, you can earn 50, 100, or even 1000 Swagbucks on a single search!

What are you waiting for? Start swaggin' it up!
